From Diagnosis to Proactive Advocacy
Hi, I'm Jasiek.
I'm a husband to my wonderful wife, Lisette, and the proud father of two amazing daughters. My family is my greatest motivation and the reason I refuse to give up, no matter how difficult the journey becomes.
Until recently, my life revolved around my family, my career in technology, and looking forward to the future we were building together. Then everything changed when I was diagnosed with glioblastoma, one of the most aggressive forms of brain cancer.
From the very beginning, I decided that I would approach this challenge the same way I have approached every complex problem throughout my career: by learning, asking questions, studying the evidence, and working with the very best experts I could find. Rather than accepting the standard path alone, I began building a personalized treatment strategy based on the latest scientific research and by collaborating with leading neuro-oncology teams across Europe.
Today, I combine standard treatment with innovative therapies that offer hope beyond what is currently available in the Netherlands. These treatments require significant personal funding, but they also allow me to contribute to a growing international network of physicians, researchers, and patients who are working to improve the future of glioblastoma care.
Along the way, something unexpected happened. Other patients started reaching out for advice and support. What began as my own search for answers has grown into a mission to help others navigate this incredibly difficult disease, connect them with international treatment options, and share the knowledge I have gained.
This website is about more than my own story. It is about hope, collaboration, and the belief that patients can play an active role in advancing healthcare. Every donation helps me continue accessing life-extending international treatments while also supporting my work to help other patients find the opportunities they deserve.
